Guide for Blocking Games
1. Use Account Restrictions
One of the best ways to limit access to certain types of games is by enabling account restrictions. This feature blocks games that aren’t verified as suitable for all ages. Here’s how you can set it up:
- Log in to the Roblox account.
- Go to the Settings by clicking the gear icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Privacy from the menu.
- Under Account Restrictions, toggle the switch to On.
This setting ensures that only age-appropriate games are accessible. However, it doesn’t allow you to block individual games.
2. Set Up Parental Controls
Roblox allows parents to set up additional controls to manage their child’s gaming experience. While you can’t block specific games, you can monitor and control what types of games your child can play:
- Go to Settings and select Parental Controls.
- Set a Parent PIN to prevent the child from changing the settings.
- Adjust the Content Settings to restrict games based on age.
3. Report and Block Players or Content
If a specific game or player is causing issues, you can report or block them, which indirectly helps in avoiding certain games:
- To block a player, go to their profile, click the three dots in the upper right corner, and select Block User.
- To report a game, click on the Report Abuse button on the game’s page and choose the appropriate reason. If you’ve been banned from a game or Roblox itself and need help getting unbanned, check out my guide on how to get unbanned for possible solutions.
4. Use Third-Party Filtering Tools
Some parents opt to use third-party parental control software to block access to specific Roblox games or to restrict certain types of content online. Tools like Net Nanny or Norton Family can provide more granular control over what your child can access on Roblox.
By taking these steps, you can help create a safer and more enjoyable environment on Roblox, whether for yourself or your loved ones.
